PIZOFEN is the trade name of Pizotifen, a prophylactic in cases of migraine and other vascular headaches. PIZOFEN also has appetite-stimulating properties.

Each Coated PIZOFEN 0.5 and 1 Tablet contains Pizotifen 0.5 and 1mg, respectively, as Pizotifen Malate.

Each 5mL of PIZOFEN Alcohol-Free Syrup contains Pizotifen 0.25mg as Pizotifen Malate.

CHEMISTRY

Pizotifen Malate is: 9,10-Dihydro-4-(1-methylpiperidin-4-ylidene)-4H-benzo[4,5]cyclohepta[1,2-b]thiophene hydrogen malate.
