Society of General Practitioners Launches First Study on Dyslipidemia

Started Saturday Aug 11th 2018, the First Jordanian National Study for the Prevalence of Dyslipidemia went to more practical steps, Blood Sampling for Lipids profile is accompanied by further clinical screening including measuring the Blood Pressure, “Body Mass Index” (BMI) and others, those free medical examinations are carried out currently in 6 medical centers through Amman and Zarqa including (Rusaifa and Yajooz), to be extended later this week to other centers (25) in all over the kingdom, targeting 1200 People with age range of 20 years and above.
 

This study which was Approved by the Jordanian Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), is operated by physicians’ who are members of the General Practitioner Society – Part of The Jordanian Medical Association, in cooperation with and support of The Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Co (JPM), blood samples will be analyzed by the Med lab according to the approved international standards.
Dr. Taghreed Barqawi (Jordan Market Manager at JPM) and the Leader of the JPM Team working on the study advised the people to visit any of the 25 Medical Centers to get the free medical examination.
The Importance of the study is referred to the fact of being the First National Study that depends on people from Jordan, rather than adopting figures obtained from studies within other communities. in addition to extending the range of the population to include people of younger age
