Indications
A- Hypercholesterolemia: Rosuvastatin is commonly used to treat individuals with elevated levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). It is also used to increase levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and lower triglycerides. By inhibiting the production of cholesterol in the liver, rosuvastatin helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular events associated with high cholesterol levels. B- Dyslipidemia: Rosuvastatin may be prescribed to manage various lipid disorders, including familial hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia, and primary hypertriglyceridemia. C- Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) Prevention: Rosuvastatin is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in individuals with established ASCVD. This includes people who have had heart attacks, strokes, or other forms of cardiovascular disease. It helps prevent further cardiovascular events by lowering cholesterol levels and stabilizing atherosclerotic plaques in blood vessels.
