Indications

As a diuretic in the management of edematous states including congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome; which often involve secondary hyperaldosteronism as well as idiopathic oedema.

Essential hypertension; usually in combination with other drugs.

Primary hyperaldosteronism treatment and its short or long term diagnostic tests.
Prophylaxis and treatment of  hypokalemia.
