Indications
ERACID is indicated for treatment of infections caused by pathogens sensitive to Clarithromycin, including: infections of nasopharyngeal tract (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), and of paranasal sinuses. Infections of the lower respiratory tract: bronchitis, bacterial pneumonia and atypical pneumonia. Skin infections: impetigo, erysipelas, folliculitis, furunculosis and septic wounds.
ERACID is indicated for use in combination with proton pump inhibitors for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in patients with an active duodenal ulcer. ERACID also has been used orally in other multiple-drug regimens for the treatment of H. pylori infection associated with peptic ulcer disease.
ERACID is indicated in the treatment of disseminated Mycobacterium avium complex, in combination with other antimycobacterials to prevent the development of resistance.
